Lost Birds

This series "Birds Fleeing" communicates the urgency and significance of avian life in the context of environmental destruction. The vibrant and layered compositions bring together elements of natural beauty and human impact. I used the juxtaposition of the peacocks and other birds against the backdrop of a structured urban environment, covered with barbed wire and sharp lines, symbolizing the tension between nature and human encroachment. The birds, with their vivid colors and intricate details, stand out against the more monotonous and stark elements of the built environment, highlighting their importance and the need for their protection. The reflections and overlays create a sense of disorientation, mirroring the chaos and uncertainty that comes with environmental degradation. I wanted to draw the viewer into the scene, making them feel the disquiet and urgency I’m trying to convey. I stressed the critical role of avian species in maintaining ecological balance. I articulated this through the contrast and complexity of the image. My goal is a stark reminder of what could be lost if we do not take action to protect these vital creatures and their habitats. I’m urging viewers to take action and reflect on the impact of human activities on nature and to consider the steps needed to preserve our planet's ecological balance.
