This series, delves into the theme of voyeurism and observation, capturing the essence of an urban landscape through the lens of a detached observer. I used the black and white palette to intensify the contrasts and draw attention to the intricate details and patterns within the scene. I empasized the structural elements of the buildings, particularly the staircases and escalators to create a strong geometric presence, leading the viewer's eye through the image. I feel the textures and graininess give the photographs a raw, almost tactile quality, enhancing the sense of being an outsider looking in. My goal in this series was to effectively captures the experience of observing from a distance, emphasizing the themes of detachment and introspection. The goal of using a layered composition was to invite viewers to explore the various elements and uncover the hidden stories within the urban landscape.
