Street Reflections

"Street Reflections" is a series I created to capture the fascinating exploration of the urban environment through the reflections in store windows. Photographing in black and white enhanced the contrast and added a timeless quality to the images, so that viewers could focus on the interplay of shapes, textures, and reflections. I created complex compositions, blending various elements from different windows into a single, cohesive image. The mixture of architectural details, abstract forms, and the mannequin-like figures i used in several of the widows imagined a surreal and otherworldly scene. Light trails and reflections added to the sense of depth and movement, making the viewer feel as though they are peering into a parallel world. My idea was to transform ordinary street scenes into a narrative space where each window tells its own unique story. By emphasizing the contrast and abstract qualities, I invited viewers to interpret the images in their own way, making the experience of viewing my work both engaging and thought-provoking. I wanted to encourage viewers to look more closely at their surroundings and discover the beauty and mystery in everyday reflections.
